"I made mistakes as I didn't fully understand how different these breeds are to the 'normal' domesticated dog"

    Sarah G, Essex, UK

Over twenty years ago I rescued an ex racing husky and a rather boisterous malamute. I had limited researched information on both breeds.

I made mistakes as I didn't fully understand how different these breeds are to the 'normal' domesticated dog....

Skip forward twenty two years, lots of research specifically with Malamutes, behaviour knowledge and raw nutritional knowledge I have two beautiful Mals. Brother and sister.

This is how I met Damo.. He has, been instrumental in my journey. I've wanted to MUSH for as long as I can remember, so you can imagine my glee when I met Damo and heard all of his stories about his adventures in the snow with his pack. I romanticised about how beautiful it would be to be pulled along gracefully by your team of dogs you trained.

Errr hello. Expectation and reality are two very different things.

Damo taught me how to train a team; who knew I'd be scouring the wastelands of Essex for tyres.

He put me in touch with like minded people selling equipment.

But most of all Damo gave me his time, he's never wanted anything in return. He's always there when I need support, advice and encouragement.

His knowledge is vast and I have the utmost respect for him, so to do  my Mals.

I hope to one day race for fun my two Mals, hopefully, as I look into the crowd I will see Damo and Blue.

A massive thanks to you both 💙

“ He has helped us with absolutely everything”

    Tanya H, Essex, UK

Well, what can I say about Damo, we met Damo nearly 12 years ago now, when we got our Furr baby Nanook. We had seen him in our local area walking his pack of 4 Alaskan malamutes around his waist and thought 'wow he's a pack leader we want be like, we NEED to get to know him' so on a walk one day my husband approached him to talk to him.

He has helped us with absolutely everything, from teaching us how to behave when they are misbehaving to guiding them through adolescent disobedience and onto health and wellbeing. Our furbaby is now at an age where her health is not at its best and she is heading towards her rainbow bridge, Damo is still guiding us helping make the right decisions. Where vets are trying to either sell us expensive drugs that will make her high as a kite or get us to put her down, he has taken us through a quality of life reasoning pathway and this has helped greatly. She is not suffering and he has helped me in particular come to terms with how how things might go and we now have a plan for when she decides enough is enough.

Damo we thank you both as a friend and as our Furbaby's guardian angel.

"Our Romanian rescue dog had some significant challenges with on lead reactivity to other dogs"

    Nicki G, Suffolk, UK

Our Romanian rescue dog had some significant challenges with on lead reactivity to other dogs. With some guidance and support Damo helped us as owners to understand Rosie’s personality, and how she reacts to situations.

We now are able to enjoy walks knowing we have the tools to help Rosie when she is in situations which challenge her.

Great job Damo and Blue, we’d be lost without you both.

  • "We walked away thinking so positively and confident"

    Jess L, Essex, UK

Thank you so much for today. We walked away thinking so positively and confident. We were seriously thinking the worst with Bertie but now there’s a good chance he will settle down. We are ordering all the bits and going to the raw dog food places next week. Thank you again 🙏🏼 goes here
